We are organizing a bookstagram tour for this upcoming young adult graphic novel! Jenni, Lauren, and Maggie are three performing arts students hoping to make it in the music world. These three girls become backup singers for pop star Nika Nitro for an entire summer, and with this opportunity comes navigating fame, crushes, and rivalry with another band. This tour will take place in April and include creative bookstagram stops.
OPEN TO USA RESIDENTS ONLY
Digital copies of THE BACKUPS will be available. All tour hosts will also receive a physical finished copy of THE BACKUPS closer to the tour start date.
Priority will be given to the bookstagrammers that identify with the representation in THE BACKUPS.

Alex de Campi is a New York-based writer with an extensive backlist of critically-acclaimed graphic novels including Eisner-nominated heist noir Bad Girls (Simon & Schuster) and Twisted Romance (Image Comics) and her debut prose novel The Scottish Boy (Unbound). She lives with her daughter, their cat, and a Deafblind pit bull named Tango.
Lara Kane is a freelance artist for animation and comics. She has worked as a storyboard artist for animation studios such as Tandem Films, HIT Entertainment and Brown Bag Films. Her previous comics work includes Flash Gordon and Semiautomagic.
Ted Brandt has worked as an inker on Raven: The Pirate Princess, Mighty Captain Marvel, Steve Rogers: Captain America, and the Eisner- and GLAAD-nominated series CROWDED.
Dee Cunniffe has colored The Dregs, Eternal, The Paybacks, Interceptor, Her Infernal Descent, The Replacer, Stronghold, Redneck, Marvel’s Runaways, and DC’s Lucifer.
